Questions I want answered.

Thu Mar 26, 2009, 5:12 PM
I was just thinking recently about all the weird things that I've been wondering for a while. I decided that, since my family's responses have been more on the side of insults against my sanity than on that of actual fact, I would pose these strange questions to all the odd ones who have time to waste here on deviantart. :) just kidding, Melly. But I truly would like legitimate answers to be leveled against these tough questions. Thanks to all those whose kindness extends to such a difficult feat!

Do water molecules all move in rivers, or do they just bump against each other so it looks like the water's moving, but really it's just the water molecules bouncing up and down?

Where does earwax come from? (I know it's from ears. I just want to know if it's congealed sound waves or dust or...I don't know...)

How is it possible that some people don't like pepperoni?

Why do we eat things that grow on the end of trees and bulge into apples and oranges and things? And why do we drink milk? Why do we eat eggs? And who decided that eating the stuff under pigs' skin was a good idea? That just doesn't sound appetizing at all.

If experts can't tell real masterpiece paintings and fake ones apart, why does it matter if they're different?

Why were dogs blessed with wonderful attitudes that allow them to wag their tails even when they're missing a leg or something? Why can't people be that good-natured, too?

How can people want to want to do something, but not really want to? (I don't know if this makes sense to reasonable people, but it does to me.)

Do you eat smoothies, or do you drink them? Is it always drinking if you do it with a straw and always eating if you do it with a spoon? What about hot chocolate? I eat/drink that with a spoon.

There are a host of other questions I would like answered that people probably would consider rather odd, but I've tired of being here, so I'm going to go orchestrate the deaths of an advisor and a couple hundred orcs. Thanks again to those whose intelligence and patience and kindness add up enough to enable them to answer my crazy questions. :)
